Photographing weddings is my passion and I’ve been professionally doing it since 2011. I also specialize in portrait photography. I’m a proud member of Professional Photographers of America, as well as The Wedding Portrait Society. Visual communication is one of my many passions. In 2008, I graduated from the University of NorthCarolina at Charlotte with majors in Art and Anthropology. My focus within my Art major was graphic design. While at UNCC, I studied a full breadth of other fine art areas including photography. I’m located in Hampstead, North Carolina and will happily travel anywhere in North Carolina

I’ve been living in the surrounding Wilmington area for seven years now. During this time, I have become very familiar with all the lovely cities surrounding Wilmington. A large majority of weddings I photograph each year typically take place either on the beach or somewhere close to the water! One of the great advantages of running a photography business in the Costal Carolinas is having all the beautiful coastal scenery abound! Wilmington, NC and the Coastal Carolinas have a long rich history which can be experienced by taking a stroll through the historic downtown Wilmington waterfront, or visiting the many inter coastal areas. There are so many gorgeous wedding venues in this area, it’s a brides dream! Did I mention how beautiful the beaches are?! Who could resist renting out an awesome ocean front beach house for a week to have their wedding? It’s a great idea and a lot of brides choose to do just that. Over the years, I have traveled up and down the Carolina Coast and had the good fortune to shoot at many of the beaches here. A large portion of my clients are out of towers that come to this area either on vacation and want beach portraits, or decide to have their wedding somewhere along the coast. Wedding Photographers in North Carolina
Originally, I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina. I still visit the foothills often, as most of my family still lives up that way. Autumn is my favorite season on the West side of NC. The beautiful changing of the leaves is something the coastal side doesn’t fully experience because of the different foliage. Seriously, driving on the Blue Ridge parkway when the leaves are changing, is like being in a beautiful painting, if that makes any sense?! I still haven’t had the opportunity to photograph a fall wedding near the foothills and I would absolutely go gaga to photograph an autumn wedding there! Anyways, before I get completely off on a tangent, I’m a native to NC and I have lived and traveled all over this wonderful state.
