One of my favorite spots in Wilmington is by the Alton Lennon Federal Building. Usually, the fountain is on, but for some reason this month, the fountain has been off and drained. This historic building was also featured in the TV series Matlock.

Kevin popped the all important question at Riverboat Landing!

Cassie & Kevin are patrons of the Old Books on Front St. They really wanted to have their photos taken inside the store. When we arrived at Old Books on Front St., it had just closed, but they were gracious enough to allow us to come in for a few minutes. I had never been inside Old Books on Front St. before, but I can see why Cassie and Kevin love it there. Upon entering, I was immediately reminded of my favorite childhood movie, The Neverending Story. For those familiar with The Neverending Story, you might be catching the reference. The old tile floor and filtered light streaming in from a small window near the ceiling; made me feel there was a magical booked tucked away on one of the shelves. 

I just got my 105 mm 2.8 Nikon macro.  It has taken me a little getting used to the telephoto quality of this lens, but I am loving the compressed value I can get from this lens! For this ring shot, I simply placed Cassie’s beautiful engagement ring on a wooden post in a parking lot and caught some sunset color in the background.
